Another Very Scary Enviro Show

Greetings Earthlings. These are scary times and the approach of Halloween seems to add some flavor to the witches' brew of troublesome things coming at you. Have no fear, The Enviro Show is here to......help stir the pot!  First, we recommend a Halloween action in Northampton: Vote Against Extinction "This November's election will have massive implications for the climate emergency and life on our planet. Join Extinction Rebellion Western MA as we remind our community of all that's at stake"[Click on the link for more]. Also, Guy McPherson returns to the show to bring you up to date on "The End of the World as You Know It" and a warning not to get "mired in the dank Swamp of Nothingness". And speaking on Nothingness we will also help you experience the most recent horrors brought upon the world by this week's Fool-on-the-Hill and His Malignancy The Mad King and the rest of the dreaded Super Spreader Repugnican Death Cult. Not enough thrills and chills?  How about a reminder that "It's the Climate Crisis, Stupid!"  All that spooky stuff and more but first it's time for.........Revenge of the Critters! Brit Suffers Big Black Cat Attack.

This week's scary Fool-on-the-Hill is Utah Repugnican Sen. Mike Lee, who tested positive for Covid-19 less than two weeks ago, spoke unmasked in person for the first day of Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s stolen Supreme Court seat confirmation hearings. Ahead of the hearing, Democrats called on Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham to require coronavirus testing for senators attending the hearing but the South Carolina Repugnican rejected those requests. So maybe that's two fools.

On to the most frightening monster who ever lurked about in The Peoples' House. Yes, it's His Malignancy The Mad King, the ghoul who enables heavily armed domestic terrorists here in the Homeland, who lies constantly about the COVID pandemic (and everything else you can think of), who refuses to accept the peaceful transition of power should he lose the election, whose enablers gut long established  regulations meant to protect us, whose agenda of “energy dominance, has already opened millions of acres of federal land across the Western U.S. to toxic energy extraction and whose separation of children from their parents at the southern border is beyond monstrous. The list goes on but surely The Peoples' House is now The F'ing House of Horrors.

Did we mention at the top of the show that "It's the Climate Crisis, Stupid!"?  Talk about horror shows. Dealing with monsters like The Mad King and his enablers is bad enough but dealing with climate chaos is.....well, HUGE.  Truth be known, OUR HOUSE IS ON FIRE!  Our friends at Grist have cobbled together some powerful horror show ads like THIS in the ongoing effort to wake up everyone. The alarm bells are ringing. Get up, Stand up, Don't give up the fight, OK?

After our interview with Guy we head over to the solar electric Bus Stop Billboard:

The Northern Forests Under Siege Enviro Show

Greetings Earthlings. If you are a regular fan of the show you already know the forces of darkness are coming after the Earth's forests. The science of proforestation is ever increasing and it's becoming clearer every day that the Climate Crisis is upon us. We need to let forests and forest soils do the critical work of capturing CO2 emissions and to stop business-as-usual logging that releases stored carbon back into the atmosphere. Michael Kellett of Restore the North Woods returns to the show for an overview of the situation. As always, we will also bring you along to marvel at this week's Fool-on-the-Hill and to wonder at the mindless stupidity of His Malignancy The Mad king and his crazed enablers; that and a reminder to anyone not paying attention that "It's the Climate Crisis, Stupid!" but first it's time for.........Revenge of the Critters! More cow attacks in the UK.

This week's fool is yet to be on The Hill but given how far off the cliff Repugnicans have traveled of late she may be there soon enough. The Washington Post reports: "A House candidate whom President Trump recently called “a future Republican Star” posted an image of herself holding a rifle with photos of three liberal congresswomen of color and the vow to “go on the offense” against members of the “Squad,” an unprecedented threat against lawmakers from a probable future colleague. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the GOP candidate for a Georgia congressional seat in a heavily Republican district and a professed QAnon conspiracy believer, posted the photoshopped image Thursday on Facebook. The image includes Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.)."

While His Malignancy The Mad King attempts to fight off tiny deadly viruses inside his old obese body, most people can't help but shake their heads remembering all the times he criticized the use of face masks and underplayed the COVID pandemic, even as he knew how dangerous it was. [Poetic Justice Alert!] His public denials and idiotic pronouncements have surely led to countless deaths among his followers, many of whom continue to refuse to wear face masks and use social distancing. So, what goes around comes around, right?  Yet, at the same time, he and his enablers mixed messages and total mishandling of the worst pandemic in one hundred years have created chaos that no doubt led to the deaths and sickness of others who wouldn't follow His Malignancy on a bet. Of course, at the same The Mad King was making life miserable for us humans he and his court of climate criminals were doing their worst to make misery for other life forms.   One example from Common Dreams: "Conservation groups on Friday raised alarm about the Trump administration's push to lift protections for gray wolves across the country after an analysis revealed how a record-breaking 570 wolves, including dozens of pups, were brutally killed in Idaho over a recent one-year period."  Another example from the Center for Biological Diversity: "The National Park Service released a management plan amendment today for Point Reyes National Seashore that would enshrine commercial cattle ranching in the California park at the expense of native wildlife and natural habitat. It also calls for the killing of native Tule Elk and would authorize new agricultural uses that will put other wildlife at risk." We guess these people just don't value life. Is it any wonder we refer to them as His Malignancy's Repugnican Death Cult?

If you have been sheltered in for a very long time without any contact with the world, we think you should know that "It's STILL the Climate Crisis, Stupid!"  Yes, The Mad King continues to deny it and fiddle while the West burns from climate change induced monstrous forest fires. He's being called out: "Referencing Trump's track record of dismissing the human-caused climate emergency as a "hoax," Climate Power 2020 executive director Lori Lodes slammed his refusal to even acknowledge the ongoing fire crisis spanning over a quarter of U.S. states as a dereliction of duties as president. President Trump's silence and complete disregard for the millions of people at risk is horrifying," Lodes said. "It shouldn't matter if it's a red state or a blue state, the president should be above politics in moments of crises. He calls climate change a 'hoax' when we can all see our nation is burning. Voters see through his B.S."

After our conversation with Michael we go to the Bus Stop Billboard:
